WHO: Greek Peak Adaptive Snowsports is looking for volunteers and participants for the snow sports program. This program includes downhill skiing, snowboarding, and mono-skiing.

WHAT: GPAS provides a snow sports experience for people whose disabilities would not allow them to utilize the traditional snow sport teaching process available from the Greek Peak Mountain Resort Ski and Ride School.

Our adaptive teaching program is for participants from 6 years of age and up with hearing impairments, visual impairments, amputations, developmental disabilities, autism, cerebral palsy, partial paralysis and other functional differences.

GPAS offers:
• Adaptive equipment, snowboards and mono-skis
• One-on-one instruction from our 70+ trained volunteers
• A staff of 30 certified PSIA/AASI ski and snowboard instructors and Special Olympics instructors
• A fully accessible Adaptive Snowsports Building

WHERE: This program is available at the Greek Peak Mountain Resort on Rte. 392 in Cortland, NY, and is centered in our Adaptive Snowsports Building.

WHEN: Our program runs January through mid-March.
The Sunday program offers morning (8:30AM) and afternoon (1:00PM) sessions.

COST: The Sunday program cost includes equipment rentals, a Greek Peak lift ticket and a personal instructor. 2011-2012 rates will be posted later this year.
(Lessons are available during the week by reservation only and regular Greek Peak lift ticket and rental prices are in effect)
