Logan Knowles: What's Your Excuse? Do it Anyway inspirational film by Casey Neistat

Get to know Logan, a past GPAS participant, and see how far he's come through his amazing determination and perseverance and the help of David Vobora, his terrific trainer!

Logan generously used his 2025 NYC marathon run as a fundraiser to kick off the GPAS building addition campaign.

Logan's Story:

At birth, Logan’s body crashed, leaving him without the supply of oxygen for ten minutes causing him to develop cerebral palsy that affects all four of his limbs. He was told that he would never be able to walk, but that didn’t stop him from trying. At four years old he began training to walk after he watched athletes ski in the X Games, and by the age of 8, he had learned how to walk independently, without any assistance.

Greek Peak Adaptive Snowsports then came into his life. When he first showed up, he could barely walk. Nobody really knew what was to come but the coaches never gave up. He fell and fell, year after year, until he finally got strong enough to ski on his own.

Logan competes in para-alpine ski racing and began competing at the age of 13. He has also competed in golf championships but has recently shifted his focus full-time to ski racing in order to be the best he can be on the mountain.

As an athlete, Logan works to find his own ways to improve and he’s excited for the opportunity to discover new ways to increase control of his body and spasms along with pushing him to the next level of ski racing, ultimately working toward his goal to compete in the Paralympic winter games.

In November 2025 he trained to run the New York City Marathon to raise awareness and funds for Greek Peak Adaptive as we looked to expand our facilities to create more success stories like Logan’s.
